Meeting college mates after 25 years is fun and that's precisely what 25 of us did - had lots of fun, at the Electrical Engineering COEP 1978 batch get-together at Hotel Ranjeet, Bhandarkar Road, Pune on 27th July 2003.

Morning was a solemn affair where Satish Mahajan, Sanjay Ranade, Shekhar Rege and your truly went and met two of our Professors at their home - Prof. Thatte and Prof. Ghatikar. We paid our respects as the accompanying photographs show; however we were left wondering who was the Professor, Thatte or Rege?

We tried our best to locate all our batch mates and were able to contact around 55. Out of these, some have settled abroad, some were out of town or had genuine problems and some refused to come. We wanted everyone's families to attend but time was too short to make all the arrangements.

Everyone was in high spirits with their ex-tempo singing, 'shero-shairi' and non-veg. jokes. But the high point of the evening were our own 'tabla-dagga' - the Sane bandhu Raju and Hemant, being ably supported by Ujlambkar, Bivalkar, Bhondwe, Ranade and Mahajan.

Some of us carried this well into the early morning with Mohamed Rafis - Karve, Hemant and Ujlambkar in full swing and Rege and me swinging to their tunes!

Rane and Bhonde have promised to arrange a get-together in the foreseeable future at Khandala. All in all, we had a great time.
